About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Designer to join our System Layout and Structural Engineering team within our Core Hardware Engineering organization. As an AutoCAD Designer, you will play a critical role in creating complex steel structures as part of large-scale automation systems within customer Distribution Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and create comprehensive Facility and System level drawings, including plan, elevation, and detail views.
  • Utilize AutoCAD tools and techniques such as Layers, External References, Dynamic Blocks, and File Management to create and manage drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and engineering teams, customer architects, structural engineers, and construction experts.
  • Develop and release Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of Bills of Material for core structure and other supporting assemblies of the Symbotic automation system.
  • Configure and system release large steel structures, including multi-disciplinary trades such as MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the building and/or machinery industries.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience using AutoCAD.
  • Prior experience designing projects involving structural steel.
  • AutoCAD specific certification(s) a plus.
  • Experience in Material Handling and/or Automation Systems a plus.
