Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team at The Tatitlek Corporation. As a Public Health Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing high complexity sample analysis in accordance with the current environmental/biological scope and/or accredited under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Program (CLIP).

Key Responsibilities
  • High Complexity Testing: Perform high complexity tests that are authorized by the Clinical Laboratory Senior Scientist.
  • Quality Control: Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
  • Instrument Calibration: Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or immediately notify the general supervisor, technical supervisor, clinical consultant, or director.
Requirements
  • Education: The Public Health Clinical Laboratory Technicians must qualify under one of the following options:
  • Experience: Laboratory training that includes either completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES, the CAHEA, or other organization approved by HHS, or at least 3 months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.
  • Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Working Conditions

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.

Additional Qualifying Factors
  • Background Screening: Must have a satisfactory background screening.
  • Drug Test: Negative drug test.
  • References: Positive references.
  • Identity and Authorization: Proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTI are required.
