Job Summary

Bell Laboratories Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk II to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk II, you will be responsible for processing account payable transactions in a timely manner, ensuring that appropriate discounts are taken.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify 3-way match, coding, entry, scanning, and filing of invoices.
  • Ensure all documentation meets requirements and follow up with relevant departments as needed.
  • Work directly with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and process weekly payments.
  • Review and process employee expense reports.
  • Assist with monthly review of goods received but not yet invoiced.
  • Support the month-end close process.
  • Work through ERP system changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and perform overtime as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associates/bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of accounting classes.
  • 3+ years of experience working in accounts payable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under minimum supervision.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, organizational skills, accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

Computer with various software programs, scanner, and copier. Hand-eye coordination for typing.
