PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and offer expertise regarding the electrical design of components, machinery, and procedures by applying engineering principles, widely-accepted concepts, practices, and methodologies.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing plant operations in terms of safety, quality, cost efficiency, and asset management.
  • Contribute to the creation and commercialization of new or existing processes, process enhancement projects, and technical systems to achieve organizational goals.
  • Support maintenance teams in diagnosing issues with manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist in the formulation of new or existing process systems, including machine centerlines, optimal operating settings, maintenance protocols, and training resources.
  • Oversee the electrical fabrication, functioning, installation, and/or repair of machinery and processes.
  • Provide assistance to procurement by supplying equipment specifications and/or requirements, resolving equipment or component challenges, and identifying cost-saving opportunities with equipment suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
(To succeed in this role, an individual must be able to perform each of the primary responsibilities satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.)

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent education with 1-2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent demonstrable skills and aptitude with five (5) years of pertinent experience.

Strong analytical abilities. Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar electrical design software. Proficient in computer applications including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project. Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and interpersonal means. Must be well-organized with the capacity to manage and engage in multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Ability to develop training materials and effectively instruct adult learners. Willingness to enhance educational and technical competencies.
