Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Care Assistant to join our team at Reid Health. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Job Summary

The Nursing Care Assistant will provide daily services involving basic care for patients, process physicians' orders, answer phones, perform clerical duties, and complete various clinical tasks as assigned by the Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities
  • Process physician's orders and record information accurately and efficiently.
  • Use computer software programs with proficiency to compile charges and relay information to physicians/physician offices/facilities.
  • Schedule appointments and transport patients as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and reports in accordance with universal chart order.
  • Initiate work orders and post reports on charts.
  • Adhere to Infection Control Policy and provide patient care according to individual needs and age-specific considerations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification after initial training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably as a CNA or in a similar role.
