We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Healthcare Support Professional to join our team at Reid Health. This role plays a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of service.

About the Role

As a Nursing Care Assistant-Float, you will be responsible for providing daily services involving basic care for patients, processing physicians' orders, answering phone calls and performing various clerical duties. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other staff members, physicians, and departments to achieve our goal of outstanding customer care and service to our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process physician's orders and record information with accuracy, speed, and proficiency.
  • Use computer and software programs with expertise.
  • Compile charges and utilize accurate medical terminology.
  • Call physicians for clarification of orders (exception: medication, parenteral fluids, code status).
  • Relay information to physicians/physician offices/other facilities, etc.
  • Schedule appointments and follow Code Procedures.
  • Operate unit communication equipment correctly.
  • Call staff as directed and transport patients safely.
  • Maintain records and reports, organizing and keeping medical records according to universal chart order.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. We require a high school graduate with medical terminology knowledge and experience working in a healthcare setting. One year ECF experience and CNA certification are preferred.

Benefits and Working Conditions
