Shasta Community Health Center is seeking a skilled Medical Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to patients under the supervision of our assigned physician supervisor.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of $123,800 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and more. Our ideal candidate will have completed a nationally accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program and possess current licenses to practice medicine in California.

Job Responsibilities
  • Taking appropriate history and physical examinations of patients
  • Ordering pertinent diagnostics and implementing appropriate therapy according to scope of practice guidelines
  • Communicating effectively with patients while involved with their healthcare, including providing patient education and answering questions
  • Demonstrating competent knowledge in delivering healthcare to patients through peer review processes and collaborative work with support staff
Requirements
  • Completed a nationally accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
  • California license upon hire and maintain current without any limitations on license to practice
  • Current PA certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc., or NP certification through the American Nurses' Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an outpatient clinic or doctor's office
  • ACLS certification
  • BCLS certification
