Key Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for ensuring a clean and sanitary environment throughout the retreat center, which includes:

  • Routine cleaning of floors and carpets, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
  • Dusting and polishing various surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and windows.
  • Maintaining restrooms and kitchens to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Managing waste disposal and ensuring the grounds are free of litter.
  • Setting up and dismantling furniture for meetings and events, as well as moving heavy items as needed.
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks and assisting with landscaping duties.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the premises to ensure security and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in custodial or maintenance roles is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
