About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Care Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.

As an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Care Coordinator, you will serve as a liaison for patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring effective and efficient patient care and ongoing process improvement. Your expertise will help us achieve exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.

This role requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership abilities, teaching and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and execute them with minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist leaders, physicians, and staff with accrediting body requirements and coordinates accreditation activities for the Epilepsy Program/EMU.
  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Advocates for and utilizes appropriate community resources for the benefit of the patient.
  • Performs retrospective review of data to monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care to formulate evidence-based, performance recommendations.
  • Attends and actively participates in Nursing Quality Team meetings and other patient care-related committees and task forces.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice as RN in Georgia.
  • Certification within two years of obtaining position.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) and ACLS certification within 30 days of employment.
  • A degree in nursing (either BSN or MSN).
  • Minimum experience: Not specified.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
