Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. As a CVOR Advanced Practice Provider, you will serve as a surgical first assist and perform vein harvesting in the Operating Room. You will also conduct patient assessments, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop care plans in collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical duties, including serving as a surgical first assist and performing vein harvesting in the Operating Room.
  • Conduct patient assessments, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop care plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, write orders, and adhere to billing and coding guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical emergencies, contribute to protocol development, and engage in ongoing educational activities.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program with First Assistant certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, with experience in CVOR procedures and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Current New Hampshire state licensure as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, national certification, BLS, ACLS required. CSU-ALS certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to deliver patient care effectively, adapt to changing environments, and communicate and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Dedication to maintaining professional standards, enhancing clinical knowledge, and contributing to the mission of Catholic Medical Center.
Work Schedule

Generally four days per week, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.
