We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to join our team at the VA North Texas Health Care System. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Operating Room, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of nursing staff in the Operating Room, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided in the Operating Room, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on new procedures and technologies.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- BSN or MSN degree.
- Current ACLS certification.
