The Texas Bach Festival is a recognized 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization established in 2017, dedicated to promoting the timeless works of Johann Sebastian Bach and other composers influenced by his legacy through educational initiatives and performance projects.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in fundraising, coupled with a deep passion for music and music education. Key competencies for success in this role include:
1. **Communication Skills**: Exceptional verbal and written abilities; capable of working effectively with the artistic director, board members, volunteers, community partners, and donors; culturally aware.
2. **Strategic Leadership**: Collaborate with the artistic director and board to fulfill the organization’s vision and mission; oversee the execution of the strategic plan, evaluate outcomes, identify gaps, and address needs; analyze both external and internal environments; recognize marketing opportunities and promote innovative solutions.
3. **Passion for Music**: A genuine enthusiasm for music, particularly Baroque and J. S. Bach; familiarity with the performing arts, artistic individuals, and the planning and execution of concert productions.
4. **Non-profit Orientation**: Mission-driven, community-focused, ethical, efficient, organized, and accountable; responsible for documenting results based on key performance indicators and maintaining all relevant organizational documents.
5. **Business Acumen**: Understanding of both for-profit and non-profit business frameworks, strategic planning, operational processes, fundraising strategies, and marketing techniques.
6. **Community Engagement**: Cultivate and secure support from individual and corporate donors; organize special events; recruit, train, and mentor volunteers and interns to advance the organization’s mission; develop new partnerships within the local schools and arts community.
