About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the Uintah and Ouray Health Center in Fort Duchesne, Utah. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive public health services, including general medical, surgical follow-up, pediatric, prenatal, and postpartum care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient interviews and examinations, review medical history, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Provide definitive management and full-spectrum family ambulatory practice in all medical categories.
  • Conduct outpatient clinics, observing patients' underlying diseases and treatment plans, including current symptoms.
  • Review patients' medications, diet, therapy course, and adherence to management plans.
  • Modify treatment regimens as indicated and instruct patients and family members accordingly.
  • Refer patients to contracted medical facilities for care and diagnostic procedures that cannot be provided at the Uintah and Ouray Service Unit.
  • Prepare medical records for all patients seen, ensuring the accumulation and organization of pertinent clinical data.
  • Provide clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under your care to physicians, hospitals, and other individuals and facilities.
  • Work closely with allied professionals to advise and coordinate their services.
Requirements
  • Minimum of six months of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Completion of a master's degree in physician assistant studies.
  • Active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action license as a nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
