Job Summary:

The Service Writer at Grand Prix Motorsports plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and support to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a seamless experience for our customers, ensuring their needs are met, and exceeding their expectations.

Working closely with our team of knowledgeable and dedicated professionals, you will be responsible for scheduling service appointments, communicating with customers, and maintaining accurate records of all service transactions. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and other team members to ensure timely completion of service work.

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 to $55,000 per year, paid biweekly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a 401k retirement plan. Ongoing training and career development opportunities are also available within our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone
  • Schedule service appointments and communicate with customers regarding their service needs and expectations
  • Accurately document customer information, service requests, and work performed in our computer system
  • Maintain accurate records of all service transactions and ensure timely and accurate billing
  • Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of service work
  • Follow up with customers after service appointments to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a working knowledge of our products and services to effectively communicate with customers and provide recommendations
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve department goals and objectives
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism and adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary education in powersports technology or related field is preferred
  • 12 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the powersports industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software, including MS Office and dealership management systems
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic powersports terminology and familiarity with service department operations
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
