Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer and Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of writing and winning proposals for federal government agencies and commercial customers in the space industry. This position will be based in either our corporate headquarters in Long Beach, California or our site in Littleton, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage proposal development from draft solicitation stage through final proposal revisions.
  • Write compliant, compelling, and client-centric narrative aligned to the proposed solution.
  • Coordinate with technical team to gather and draft technical proposal volumes.
  • Enforce internal proposal deadlines and oversee the review and approval processes.
  • Identify, resolve, mitigate, and escalate gaps and risks to management and technical leads when necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or relevant technical subject and 2+ years of proposal experience.
  • 2+ years of professional writing and/or editing experience.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project) on a PC platform.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Superior project and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate various levels of SMEs effectively to deliver complicated responses on time.
  • Ability to work successfully under time-sensitive deadlines and in fast-paced environments.

Rocket Lab provides a competitive salary range of $60,000-$114,000 USD, plus a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement plan options, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave, and paid parental leave.
