Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise shop staff consisting of trailer mechanics and provide hands-on guidance on proper diagnosis and repair practices.
  • Maintain a local terminal's domiciled fleet of trailers and dollies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Input data into a computer database for parts and work orders generated in the shop.
  • Perform inspections, service, and repairs on dry van trailers, using specialized equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Utilize service information from available sources, including shop manuals and industry service bulletins, to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty braking and electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience.
  • Maintenance lead person experience.
  • Training in diagnostic software and computerized tools for troubleshooting.
  • Electronic braking systems experience.
  • Experience rebuilding, repairing, and fabricating aluminum and steel components.
