Job Summary

Cameron Insurance Agency, Inc is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Insurance Account Representative to join our team. As an Insurance Account Representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, meeting or exceeding sales and service goals, and executing the marketing plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with agency marketing efforts to promote State Farm products and services.
  • Deliver unsurpassed customer service to clients and prospects, utilizing service as a marketing opportunity.
  • Meet or exceed sales and service/activity goals as outlined in the business plan or as directed by the agent.
  • Execute the marketing plan, including cold prospecting and X-dating, sales appointments, and Family Insurance Checkups.
  • Conduct sales appointments and Family Insurance Checkups to promote State Farm products and services.
  • Respond to Internet/Email inquiries from clients and prospects, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Implement and utilize systems established in the agency operation to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Establish and develop a knowledge base to enable sales proposals for all products appropriate to the level of licensure.
  • Accountable for the actions items within the Beginning of the Day (BOD) report, managed daily.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the agent.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of office procedures and customer service experience is preferred.
  • Some insurance knowledge is helpful but not required for an individual who is ambitious and willing to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Word is required.

Training and Development

The employee will be expected to complete Agents Staff Training within the first six months of employment. The employee will be expected to have or obtain the Maine Property and Casualty License and the Maine Life and Health license within the first four months of employment. The agent will pay costs associated with licensing required by the State of Maine contingent upon an employee service commitment of one year, beginning with the date the employee becomes fully licensed.

Licensed staff members are expected to complete the required continuing education courses to maintain their license.
