Radiographer Specialist

About the Role:
Mountain View Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiographer Specialist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview patients prior to testing and analyze their general body size, physical condition, age, and medical history to accurately apply mammographic procedures.
- Operate complex electronic equipment to apply ionizing radiation for mammographic examinations.
- Assess the technical quality of radiographs and perform retakes as necessary.
- Document patient information and assist with invasive procedures, including Stereotactic Localization, Core and Needle Biopsies, and duct-o-grams.
- Provide information to patients, nursing staff, and physicians on radiographic procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety practices.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as an RT(R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Completed mammography training with current number of mammograms done within the allotted time frame as described by the American College of Radiology.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain patient confidentiality.
