Naval Architect Senior

Koam Engineering Systems, Inc. (KES Inc.) is a leading provider of technology innovation and systems integration services. We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Naval Architect to join our team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide engineering and technical services to support the maintenance and modernization of US Navy Combatant Craft. This includes overseeing the efforts of subordinate engineering personnel, applying standard techniques and procedures, and performing design and analysis tasks.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the efforts of subordinate engineering personnel in the accomplishment of routine naval architecture work.
- Apply selected techniques and procedures to assignments involving ship design and ship performance analyses.
- Assist in the solution of difficult problems involved in areas of assignment.
- Use prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of broader systems design, performance analysis, or hull form characteristic assignments.
- Ten (10) years' experience in the design, operation, maintenance, or testing of watercraft, including working experience with US Navy standards.
- Three years supervisory experience.
- Expert level knowledge of NAVSEA Manual No. S9AA0-AB-GOS-010/GSO, Rev. 9.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Small/High Speed Craft/Boat design experience.
- Shipyard Experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
