Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Claims Specialist to join our team at CNA. As a key member of our reinsurance claims team, you will be responsible for reviewing reinsurance contracts, determining liability and compensability, and securing information to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review reinsurance contracts to determine liability and compensability
  • Secure information to ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Partner with reinsurers to pursue outstanding balances
  • Create premium invoices and loss bordereau's
  • Verify reinsurance eligibility based on contractual requirements
  • Pursue recovery of balances for reinsurance claims/accounts
  • Initiate corrective action with business partners
  • Make recommendations for process improvements
  • Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced reinsurance claims staff

Requirements:

  • Solid technical and area-specific expertise and knowledge of reinsurance products and services
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically a minimum of three to five years of claims, accounting or reinsurance experience
