About the Role

The Assistant Director of Nursing is a key member of our leadership team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide our nursing staff to provide exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care and services provided.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure that our nursing department is meeting regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure that our nursing department operates within budget.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of care and services provided.
Requirements
  • Unencumbered Active Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Long-Term Care experience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Up-to-date CPR and first aid certification.
