Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Processor I to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Financial Service Center. As an Accounts Payable Processor I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments for the Aging and Disabled (OADS) clients of DHHS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review payment requests for accuracy and compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Write checks based on those payment requests.
  • Complete bank account reconciliations.
  • File appropriate paperwork timely.
  • Work collaboratively with OADS caseworkers.
  • Assist team members and perform other accounts payable tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of accounting practices and controls, as well as prior experience and/or education that demonstrates knowledge of GAAP/GASB, analyzing accounting data, and accounting reconciliations.
