Key Responsibilities
  • Manage operational excellence in all warehouse areas, ensuring efficient operations of warehouse management systems and related equipment.
  • Assist the General Manager or Assistant General Manager in evaluating the effectiveness of work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to achieve accurate and timely movement and processing of product.
  • Lead associates and peers to anticipate and solve problems, plan for upcoming events, and drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains to reduce overall cost-to-serve.
  • Coach, train, and develop associates through informal and formal training programs, providing job performance-based feedback and maintaining a union-free work environment.
  • Ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization by following Home Depot safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Reports to the DC General Manager I/II or Assistant General Manager.
  • Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others, including selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development of subordinates.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
