Mechanical Systems Engineer 3 Job Description

At Innova People, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer 3 to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for generating technical requirements and advancing the design of balance of plant mechanical systems within a power plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review engineering specifications, and other documentation that communicate the design requirements of components, systems, and structures associated with balance of plant systems.
  • Plan, organize, and perform complex assignments in a team environment.
  • Act as technical lead for various balance of plant mechanical systems. Additionally, support design partner technical requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Quality Assurance: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards, and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university is required. A PE license in mechanical engineering is desired.
  • Minimum five years of relevant, full-time professional experience is required. Demonstrated knowledge in the following is also required:
    • Fluid system design, preferably in the nuclear industry.
    • Operation of fluid systems in a nuclear power plant.
    • Applying regulatory requirements to the design of nuclear power plant systems.

Industry Requirements:

  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
