Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
  • Conduct test drives and assess vehicle components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
  • Inspect critical systems such as brakes, steering, and wheel bearings to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Utilize hydraulic jacks or hoists to elevate trucks, buses, and heavy machinery for repairs.
  • Focus on the repair and troubleshooting of major components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials, which may involve replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, and fuel system parts.
  • Communicate effectively with management to keep customers informed about any additional services required, including providing time estimates for further repairs.
  • Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance or completion of a trade school program is preferred.
  • Automotive experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Basic welding skills are a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities are essential.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending, squatting, and reaching as necessary.
  • Willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks.
  • A clean and valid driver's license is required.
