Option Care Health mandates that all employees be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Acceptance of a position is contingent upon providing proof of vaccination or obtaining an approved medical or religious exemption. Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Quality & Clinical Services, the Senior Vice President of Clinical Excellence is responsible for spearheading initiatives aimed at delivering superior patient care outcomes, with the goal of exceeding industry standards and stakeholder expectations. This role oversees clinical optimization efforts, managing all aspects from design and workflow to key performance indicators, change management, implementation, and necessary adjustments to meet established success criteria.

This leader collaborates with various business units within the organization, including but not limited to Business Development, Sales, Operations, IT, and others, to drive business growth opportunities from pilot programs to nationwide launches of new products and expanded clinical services. The Senior Vice President identifies opportunities and partners with internal stakeholders to revise or create protocols, processes, programs, and service models that enhance patient outcomes and expand clinical capabilities based on evidence derived from patient population data.

The Senior Vice President is tasked with building a Clinical Excellence team focused on driving clinical transformation and fostering continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate insights and strategies to enhance, expand, or develop clinical processes and service offerings by leveraging core business platforms, patient outcomes data, and industry insights to deliver exceptional patient care while supporting business growth.
  • Establish metrics for success and key performance indicators (KPIs). Utilize comparative industry data to articulate the organization's performance in the marketplace, actively managing KPIs to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Oversee the analysis of patient populations and service offerings, utilizing data from various internal and external sources to inform quality improvement and patient outcome objectives.
  • Lead teams in evaluating and recommending clinical workflow processes to enhance quality of care, patient outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Transform program outputs into executive-level presentations, updates, and business recommendations, facilitating discussions and influencing across functional lines.
  • Contribute to clinical standards and procedures, introducing best practices to improve outcomes and maintain high-quality care.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement while maintaining strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Utilize technology to create efficiencies and evidence-based findings.
  • Monitor organizational outcomes against external benchmarks and develop initiatives in response to trends.
  • Support adherence to data governance procedures, ensuring alignment on data use and disclosure.
  • Participate in committees that evaluate new products and services, assessing clinical offerings and business growth.
  • Mentor staff through onboarding, communication, training, and performance management processes, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities, such as hiring, performance reviews, and team management.

Qualifications:

  • A licensed clinician with over ten years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare delivery, with a focus on clinical transformation and quality improvement.
  • A Master's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including current trends and regulations.
  • Proven experience in developing strategic initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage all levels of an organization.
  • Experience in leading large-scale projects and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with a history of managing revenue-generating teams.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Involvement in professional organizations related to healthcare, risk management, or quality management.

Compensation:

Salary will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.
