Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Hematology/Oncology to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership and direction to the Hematology/Oncology program
  • Diagnose, stage, and provide therapy and follow-up for malignant and benign hematologic disorders and malignant solid tumors
  • Provide specialty consultation for both inpatients and outpatients
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and assist the facility to meet established performance measures
  • Teach and supervise medical students and physicians-in-training
Requirements
  • Board certification in Hematology/Oncology
  • Significant experience in diagnosing, staging, and treating hematologic disorders and malignant solid tumors
  • Ability to provide medical leadership and direction to a team of healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
