About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in the rehabilitation process of our patients, providing expert care and guidance to help them achieve optimal recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs.
  • Assess patients' needs, identify and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions, and work cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Observe and evaluate treatment effect, accomplishment of short and long-term goals, and recommend changes to physicians as needed.
  • Perform an appropriate assessment on each patient and perform reassessments, as per policy, and perform accurate and timely QI scoring.
  • Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation, make appropriate interventions to reduce pain, and make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
  • Formulate and update patient-specific plan of care for physical therapy.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR Card.
