Advanced Specialty Care, P.C. is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant/Scribe to collaborate with our team of collegiate Dermatologists and clinical professionals.

Objectives:
  • The successful Medical Assistant/Scribe will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information about patient visits.
  • The ideal candidate will provide patients with exceptional customer service and adhere to practice protocols and processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Accompany the physician during consultations and examinations, transcribing physical exam details per instruction utilizing medical terminology and documentation guidelines within the electronic health record.
  • Complete all necessary documentation of the patient encounter in the medical chart, including entering orders as the physician dictates.
  • Prepare patient rooms, reconcile medications, assist with minor procedures, provide patient education, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Medical Scribes must be proficient in typing/data entry and possess strong spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication skills. They should be able to listen to complex medical information and summarize it clearly, completely, and concisely while multitasking effectively.
  • A solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments is required to comprehend and accurately transcribe dictated reports. The ability to translate medical abbreviations into their expanded forms is essential.
  • Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this Job, a Medical Scribe regularly stands; sits; walks; and uses hands to type. They must maintain a high level of professionalism and maturity, work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Medical Scribe certification is preferred.

  • Prior Dermatology experience is highly valued.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Multitasking proficiency.
  • Proficiency with computers and software programs.
Requirements:
  • Previous Medical Assistant Experience
  • Flexibility to work across multiple office locations in Danbury, Ridgefield, and Norwalk.
  • A flexible work schedule is required.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
