Job Summary

Weis Markets is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our deli department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized deli area, including display cases, counters, and equipment.
  • Ensure the freshness and quality of merchandise, including rotating product, handling spoiled or damaged items, and adhering to company recipes and safety policies.
  • Operate slicing equipment, package items, and prepare ready-to-eat foods to individual customer orders.
  • May be responsible for cash register operations, following policies and procedures to ensure proper money handling and adherence to company and state laws.
  • Assist with inventory control, minimizing losses by returning products to refrigeration, properly handling products, and following company recipes.
  • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries.
  • Ensure smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, and continuously improving job performance.
Requirements
  • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required.
