Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center. As a member of our invasive cardiology team, you will be responsible for performing quality patient care in collaboration with the Physician and Registered Nurse during all cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures and electrophysiology studies.

Responsibilities
  • Performs quality patient care in collaboration with the Physician and Registered Nurse during all cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures and electrophysiology studies.
  • Assists in all duties related to catheterization lab procedures under the general direction of the invasive cardiologist.
  • Primarily responsible for radiographic equipment, radiographs, and related imaging and archiving.
  • Participates as a surgical scrub tech as necessary.
  • Monitors and processes hemodynamic data.
  • Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory.
  • Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness.
  • Obtains supplies for individual cases.
Qualifications
  • Three years experience in a Catheterization Laboratory to include radiation safety, proper imaging technique for coronary procedures, aseptic technique, scrub position.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by ARRT.
  • License is required as issued by the state of California, CRT and national, ARRT. Must have fluoroscopy permit.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS within 6 months of employment.
