Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team at All Med Search. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials.

Salary: Up to $95,000 per year, depending on experience, with a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct various diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
  • Order and Administer Radiopharmaceuticals: Order, prepare, calibrate, store, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine and on-call procedures, ensuring accurate dosages and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Maintain Equipment: Perform quality assurance checks on cameras and other instruments, as well as operate radiation detection devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Computer Operations: Demonstrate proficiency in operating computer systems, including Meditech, PACS, and Syntrac, to process patient information and manage inventory.
  • Charge Management: Verify physician orders and enter accurate charges to ensure seamless billing and revenue management.
  • Inventory and Maintenance: Participate in the quarterly inventory of radioactive sealed sources and perform decontamination procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Departmental Support: Assist in maintaining departmental records, manuals, and inventory, as well as contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of the department.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology; ARRT-N or CNMT licensure required.
  • Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist, although new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
