We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospice Nursing Director to lead our patient care services team in Idaho Falls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to clinical supervisors, overseeing teams within Hospice, and delivering direct patient care throughout Southeastern Idaho.

About the Role

The Hospice RN Director of Nursing / Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) will be responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and directing patient care services in accordance with federal and state regulations, accrediting bodies, and recognized standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Patient Care Services: Responsible for ensuring that patient care services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.">
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to clinical supervisors, overseeing teams within Hospice, and maintaining staffing levels to provide patient care that meets changing demands.">
  • Quality and Safety: Direct and support Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, ensuring that our services meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.">
  • Financial Management: Assist in preparing and meeting financial targets set by the Agency's annual budget, contributing to ongoing budget management and gathering of financial data.">
  • Staff Development: Develop and implement orientation and ongoing training programs for Agency staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional patient care.">
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements for home care reimbursement, communicating updates to staff.">
  • Clinical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical knowledge and trends, sharing this information with staff to ensure that they can provide the best possible care.">

Requirements

  • Nursing Experience: Must be a Registered Nurse with extensive history in Hospice preferred, but strong leadership experience is a must.">
  • Education and Certifications: Current license from the state Board of Registered Nursing and current CPR certification required.">
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively in English.">
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.">
