About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Speech Therapist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities, and screen hearing acuity
  • Provide written documentation on treatment and discharge plans
  • Educate staff and patient/family members on patient needs and modify treatment approaches as needed
  • Maintain a high level of professional expertise and assume responsibility for professional growth and development
Requirements
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
