POSITION TITLE:
Custodial Specialist
OBJECTIVE:

To play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness of the designated client's environment, aiming to surpass the standards established by ServiceMaster Management and the client.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Dust surfaces according to the facility's Task Schedule.
  • Sanitize all telephones.
  • Disinfect all drinking fountains.
  • Spot clean desktop surfaces.
  • Spot clean reception and lobby glass, including front doors and other glass partitions.
  • Clean interior glass in partitions and doors.
  • Eliminate cobwebs.
  • Sanitize and polish all fixtures, including toilets, urinals, and sinks.
  • Clean all glass and mirrors in restrooms.
  • Empty waste containers, replace liners, and spot clean as necessary.
  • Empty and spot clean sanitary disposal units.
  • Spot clean walls, doors, and partitions.
  • Refill all dispensers to standard levels.
  • Transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Empty and clean smoking receptacles.
  • Spot clean spills and stains on carpeted areas.
  • Vacuum all flooring.
  • Mop hard surface floors.
  • Execute all tasks in accordance with company safety protocols.
  • Engage in special cleaning projects as directed by management.
WORK PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
  • All tasks completed to specifications within the allocated time frame.
  • Accurate clocking in and out of the Time & Attendance System.
  • Adherence to uniform and identification requirements.
  • Maintain neat and organized closets and carts.
  • Daily review and response to the communication log by relevant personnel.
  • Ensure the building is secured as per account specifications.
  • Learn and execute all responsibilities as per new hire training.
  • Follow personal safety guidelines as outlined by company policy.
  • Identify issues, demonstrate initiative, and make sound decisions.
SKILLS, EFFORT, EDUCATION, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to read and understand client, company, and safety communications.
  • Capability to stand or walk for periods of up to 4 hours during work.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required.
  • Ability to lift boxes, trash bags, and equipment (maximum weight of 75 pounds).
  • Ability to push and pull carts, trash barrels, vacuum cleaners, and mops.
  • Use of a step ladder may be necessary.
REQUIRED ATTITUDES AND TEMPERAMENTS:
  • Exhibit a friendly and pleasant demeanor towards colleagues and clients.
  • Consistently perform at a high level and take pride in delivering quality work.
  • Flexibility in working scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
