Veterinary Care Specialist

Position Purpose: As a Veterinary Technician at East Memphis Pet Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. This dynamic position requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can handle a variety of tasks with enthusiasm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and patients, obtain vital signs, and record information in the electronic medical record.
- Assist during surgical procedures, feed and care for animals, and maintain supplies and equipment.
- Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, and complete laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Takes vital signs, collects samples, administers medications, and supports animal examinations.
- Maintains a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, and verifying shelf life of medications.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 1-year previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or working in a veterinary practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, compassion, and a professional attitude and demeanor.
- Clinical and technical skills, ability to analyze and interpret information, and a willingness to learn new techniques and treatments.
