Key Responsibilities:- Operate Production Machinery: Safely control and operate production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications, including lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment.
- Meet Production Requirements: Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
- Inspect and Measure Parts: Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
- Record and Maintain Logs: Maintain logs and records of units produced, including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
- Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment, and perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Area: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
- Production Knowledge: Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Technical Software Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or completion of a related apprenticeship program preferred.
- Experience: At least one year of related experience required.
- On-the-Job Training: Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Prolonged Standing and Lifting: Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual Acuity: Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
