Position Title: Spiritual Care CPE Resident
Qualifications:
As a Spiritual Care CPE Resident, you will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of spiritual care practices across various religious, socioeconomic, ethnic, racial, educational, and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Proven capacity to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to integrate theological and behavioral sciences to provide support to patients and their families.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer applications.
- Commitment to reflective practice and personal growth.
- A profound spiritual life and compassion for patients and their families.
- Maturity and resilience in high-pressure situations.
- Resourcefulness and a cooperative spirit in working with others.
Educational Requirements:
A baccalaureate degree is required, with a graduate degree from an accredited seminary or theological institution preferred. Completion of one or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education is mandatory.

This position is full-time with a rotating schedule, contributing to the vital work of the MGH Chaplaincy.
