Join Our Dedicated Team as a Full-Time Hospice Care Aide (CNA)
St. Joseph Hospice is currently seeking a Full-time Hospice Care Aide CNA to become an integral part of our esteemed organization, committed to delivering exceptional hospice services to our patients and their families.
We view it as a privilege to support patients and their loved ones during this significant phase of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting needs.
- Support the safe use of mobility aids such as walkers or wheelchairs, as instructed and overseen by nursing or therapy staff.
- Ensure a safe environment for clients by adhering to infection control protocols, following established guidelines, and reporting any hazardous conditions to your supervisor.
- Communicate any changes in the patient's mental or physical state or home environment to the Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a recognized certification training program or successful passing of a written skills assessment and competency evaluation.
- A minimum of six (6) months of experience in a direct care role is necessary.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
