Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, conduct process simulations, and develop strategies to reduce costs and improve productivity. Your expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools will be invaluable in driving process optimization and cost reduction initiatives. In addition, your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively work with suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain and quality performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, as well as minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering in the Aviation & Aerospace industry. You should also be proficient in process simulation software such as Arena, Matlab, or SIMUL8, and have a proven track record of driving process optimization and cost reduction initiatives. Additionally, your ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders is essential. A salary range of $85K-$113K will be provided based on experience and qualifications. Experience with project management and continuous improvement methodologies, along with knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Conduct process simulations, time studies, and capacity analysis to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce production costs and improve productivity
  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing methods, tools, and equipment
  • Use statistical analysis and process control techniques to monitor and validate manufacturing process performance
  • Train and mentor production operators on new tools, equipment, and processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and conduct root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain and quality performance
