The Activity Director Assistant is a key member of our team at The Alden Network, responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our activity programs. This role requires a strong understanding of the needs of our residents and the ability to create engaging and meaningful experiences for them.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning, developing, and organizing activity programs that meet the needs and interests of our residents.
- Work closely with the Activity Director to ensure that all programs are aligned with the goals and objectives of The Alden Network.
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure that our activity programs are meeting their needs and expectations.
- Conduct assessments and create individualized activity plans for residents.
- Develop and implement volunteer programs to support our activity initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our activity programs are integrated with other aspects of our care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our activity programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as recreational therapy, occupational therapy, or social work.
- At least three years of experience in activity programming or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of activity programming principles and practices.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certification in recreational therapy or a related field.
- Experience working with older adults or individuals with dementia.
