Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our team at Grindley Williams Engineering in Lakeland, Florida. As a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting our Professional Engineers with forensic engineering inspections on residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections and collect data using field tools and technology.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Professional Engineering staff to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Draft engineering reports as needed to document findings and recommendations.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support the team.
  • Travel overnight as needed to respond to major storm damage or other project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must live in/near Sarasota County.
  • Valid and active US Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Ability to obtain licenses/certifications as required.
  • Willingness to travel overnight occasionally, which may include weekends in response to major storm damage.
