We offer a competitive annual salary range of $130,000 to $180,000 based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments.

Job Description

">

The Lead Photonic Component Engineer will work within the PIC design and engineering team to develop high-performance photonic components, implement processes through the fab, and test resulting circuits to verify performance. The successful candidate will lead product development from reliable design concepts, performance verification, and optimization and transfer to manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • ">
  • Significant experience in optical components design for high performance.">
  • Experience developing InP devices, such as lasers, SOAs, high-speed modulators, and detectors.">
  • Hands-on experience with InP opto-electronic fabrication process development.">
  • Ability to work with large bodies of data and statistical analysis tools.">
  • Frequent collaborative interaction with fab, epitaxy, test and reliability engineering, packaging, product engineering, and system engineering groups.">

Education

A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related discipline with emphasis in optical communications and high-speed optical components is required. We also consider candidates with M.S. in the above fields with at least 5 years of applicable experience.
