Job Overview:
Infinera is seeking a highly skilled Photonic Components Designer to develop high-performance photonic components for our innovative networking solutions. This role involves hands-on work in designing integrated photonic components, implementing processes through the fabrication facility, and testing resulting circuits to verify performance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop high-performance photonic components using optical and electronic modeling and simulation software.
* Collaborate with fab, epitaxy, test, and reliability engineering, packaging, product engineering, and system engineering groups to ensure seamless integration of photonic components into Infinera's products.
* Develop and maintain accurate data analysis and present results to a diverse audience.

Requirements:
* Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related discipline with emphasis on optical communications and high-speed optical components.
* Significant experience in optical components design for high-performance applications is required. Experience developing InP devices, such as lasers, SOAs, high-speed modulators, and detectors, is highly desired.
* Hands-on experience in InP opto-electronic fabrication process development and material characterization and epitaxy knowledge are highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits:
* Competitive salary range: $140,000 - $200,000 per year.
