We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Novolex, a leader in packaging innovation, choice, and sustainability. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance Team, inspiring high performance through effective goal setting and performance measurement.
- Preventive Maintenance: Effectively coordinate, plan, and execute the Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Facility Management: Responsible for all facility-related equipment and systems, including electric utility, air compressors, boiler, and hazardous waste.
- Maintenance Operations: Prioritize and complete assigned maintenance tasks, delegate to subordinates, and ensure maintenance employees follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control maintenance operating costs to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Quality Assurance: Review repairs for quality or workmanship and implement improvements to existing equipment to enhance efficiency or reduce costs.
- Project Management: Coordinate outside contractor work from bid acquisition to construction, interact with outside machine shops to fabricate machine parts, and coordinate plant projects, design, and development.
- Safety and Compliance: Assist in safety program implementation and enforcement, participate in accident investigations, and assist with environmental issues.
- Training and Development: Participate in conducting required annual training of plant personnel and liaison with regulatory agencies, insurance companies, and vendors as needed.
- Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 5+ years' plant maintenance work experience required, with successful supervisory experience and draftsman experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent knowledge of machinery, manufacturing equipment, and building maintenance, with knowledge of printing and paper converting machinery, conveyers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to properly diagnose electrical component failures and provide solutions, with basic PLC and VFD experience and expert-level experience in LOTO systems required.
