Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment Technician to join our team at PowerHouse Resources International, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing Ground Support Equipment (GSE), advising and training lower-grade workers, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft ground support systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose malfunctions and repair GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.
  • Advises and trains lower-grade workers on diagnosis and repair of less complex repair/maintenance problems.
  • Inspects and approves completed maintenance actions.
  • Maintains external fuel and grounding systems.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE.
  • Inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
  • Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.


Working Conditions: May be required to work in areas that are noisy, dusty, and dirty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching and climbing. Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Will be required to comply with safety requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures Manual. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, where applicable.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Completion of Military Technical Training or comparable Civilian Trade School is desired.
