Philly's Paws & Claws is seeking dedicated individuals for our expanding pet care services. We specialize in a variety of offerings including dog walking, pet sitting, daycare, boarding, and transportation services for pets. We are looking to enhance our exceptional team of pet care experts.

  • Position: Dog Walker (engaging in private neighborhood dog walking with potential earning opportunities at our local pet daycare).
  • Work Schedule: This role is primarily part-time, with most staff members working between 15-25 hours weekly, depending on client demand and personal availability. Additional work may be available.
  • Operational Hours: Our services are available from 8 AM to 7 PM for daycare and taxi services, while dog walking is offered from 7 AM to 10 PM. Pet sitting is available during early mornings and late evenings.
  • Preferred Availability: Candidates who can work Monday through Friday and may assist on weekends are strongly preferred.

Compensation:

Hourly rates range from $15 to $28. New staff will begin training at $15 per hour, with daycare staff starting at $17 per hour after 30 days. Dog walkers typically earn between $20 and $28 per hour.

Monthly earnings can range from $500 to $2000, with some experienced staff members earning over $2000 during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:

Dog Walking Duties
  • Transport pets to and from daycare, veterinary appointments, and client residences.
  • Create a safe and enjoyable environment for pets in both client homes and outdoor settings.
  • Adhere to client-specific care instructions, including any training preferences.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a personal touch.
  • Utilize a dedicated app for communication with clients and staff via a modern smartphone.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure all scheduled tasks and visits are completed.

We also prefer candidates who can assist in our daycare facility.


Daycare Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness in all animal areas, including runs, cat spaces, floors, dishes, and bedding.
  • Feed animals and administer medications as scheduled.
  • Monitor pet health and behavior, fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
  • After training, provide bathing and light grooming for dogs visiting the daycare.
  • Manage inventory of daycare supplies.
  • Assist clients and staff with pet drop-off and pick-up at the daycare.
