Job Title: Medical Staff

VNS Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Wound Care Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating population/disease management programs and related protocols/policies based on clinical outcomes and staff practice patterns. You will collaborate with staff to improve clinical outcomes, provide expert consultations, staff development plans, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement formalized disease and symptom management education programs for clinical staff based on evidence-based guidelines and reimbursement regulations.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide clinical care in accordance with VNS Health policies, practices, procedures, and Standards of Professional Practice.
  • Collaborate with the Research department to provide clinical expertise for the development, design, and implementation of research proposals.
Requirements:
  • License and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York within 6 months.
  • Clinical certification in a specific specialty, such as diabetes, oncology, wound/ostomy/continence, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Proficient with personal computers, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
