About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Boulder Community Health. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and scheduling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
  • Checks in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in the medical record and into computer, and checks out patients.
  • Collects payments from patients and assists with questions about their accounts.
  • Escorts patients to exam rooms or labs when needed and closes cash drawers at the end of the business day.
  • Schedules patient appointments in the electronic health record (EHR) system, following office scheduling policies.
  • Maintains the lobby in a neat and orderly manner and answers phone calls, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
  • Screen visitors and responds to routine requests for information.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Prefer one year of reception experience.
  • At least six months of coding experience preferred.
  • Word processing and computer experience preferred.
