Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at the Helen L. & Martin S. Kimmel Hyperbaric and Advanced Wound Healing Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients with complex wounds, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with providers to develop and implement comprehensive patient-centered plans of care, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Education and Training: Deliver educational programs for staff, including BCLS training, to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and promote best practices within the department.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work effectively with healthcare teams to achieve seamless communication and coordinate care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A baccalaureate degree in Nursing (preferably) or a Diploma/AAssociate Degree in Nursing with plans to earn a baccalaureate degree within one year.
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Registered Professional Nurse, preferably in emergency room or critical care settings.
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State.
  • BCLS and ACLS certification.
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
